Yasmeen Thanh was born in a Cham village in Vietnam-Champa. She is part of the minority, indigenous ethnic groups of Vietnam, Yasmeen is trilingual in Cham, Vietnamese, and English. She came to America in 1993 and is a graduate from San Jose State University with Fine Arts and a minor in Business Management, and Teaching. She has worked as an educator and in the tech field in Silicon Valley. She is passionate in helping minority children and woman around the world focusing on education.  To read about her people and what they had been through, You will know why she started Moonlight Humanity to help minority around the world regardless of race, color and religion especially those who have been through persecution or disaster.

He is the founder of Support Life which support many resident in the Bay Area mainly in Oakland area for the homeless and job skills.  We are partnering  in 2019.

Kent Whitney is a Certified Public Accountant who focuses on middle-market entrepreneurial businesses in a variety of industries. He works closely with business owners and their accounting staff to assist with business, accounting and tax issues. Kent passed exams in November 1976, he has over forty years experience.   Kent has been a volunteer accountant for Moonlight Humanity since 2010.  He is very kind and passionate in helping others

She  has contributed to the Bay Area community for more than 15 years through social projects which includes feeding the homeless, helping battle Islamophobia, and teaching at a local Islamic Sunday School. Yasmin worked at Xilinx (Software Localization Manager). She studied Computer Science at Florida Institute of Technology and currently lives in San Jose, California. Yasmin is also well versed in many languges including Burmese, English, Japanese, Farsi, Hindi-Urdu. She is originally from Rangoon, Yangon, Burma.

He works through iFaqeer Communications as a Consultant and Entrepreneur). He has a Masters’ in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Sabahat currently resides in Fremont, California. He is well versed in many languages: English, Urdu, Hausa, Nigerian Pidgin Awadhi, Punjabi, German. Biography: Shaykh Alauddin El-Bakri was the Founding Board member of IMAN:  He is a regularly invited guest speaker to high tech companies and universities to lecture about Islamic faith, culture, history and people. Currently he serves as an Imam of Saratoga Mosque. He found many organization in United States with job training and uplifling.

Dr. Nadeem is a Fulbright Scholar, a Distinguished Professor of Marketing and an expert in executive education programs. Professor Nadeem is intellectually curious about managerially relevant problems with rigorous training in marketing thrives in the classroom. He is a US Citizen & lives with his family in Santa Clara, CA. Has been a supporter and MC for many Moonlight Humanity events for the past years.

Somaya Rahman: 2017-2019
Our volunteer in Bangladesh. Yasmeen and Somaya has been friend for more than 20 years. Somiya is American citizen and got married in Bangladesh and our volunteer for education project. She has MBA in BIO and Teaching.

Director management for our Rohingya Education project in 2017-2019. Manges 4 teachers and 300 students at the the camps.

Covid-19 Relief programs for her Bangladesh people by calling donors within the circle of her friends and family in USA, California for food packagings and orphans support.



Past volunteer for Rohingya Project Kawser Jamal. 2017-2018 Santa Clara resident and our volunteer for Rohingya project.  He went inside the refugees camps in 2018 and has distributed health care, sanitation for woman and school supplies and food for children.  Was able to distributed thousand of woman and children in needs such as toys and blanket.  He said it was a great experience to be able to help the people in dira. We take things for granted here and we never known what people are going through over there. Thinking about his family and children has to go that it makes him sleepless.

Ani studied Graphic Design and graduated Magna Cum Laude at San Jose State University. Ani is fluent in Indonisa, Malaysian, and English with knowledge of Spanish. She is from Burlingame, California.

Asiroh Cham

is the Communications Director for Moonlight Humanity. Asiroh is a 1.5 Cham American, born in a refugee camp in Thailand but spent most of her life in California. She received her B.A. from UCLA in International Development Studies and Southeast Asian Studies; with an emphasis on indigenous communities. After her B.A., she worked as an academic counselor at UCLA for almost 5 years; advising students in Asian Studies degrees. She completed her Master’s degree in Asian American Studies with a focus on the Cham diaspora in the United States. She assists with Moonlight Humanity as a volunteer, particularly editing content for publicity materials and assist with various projects.

Eric Herberholz

is a Moonlight Humanity volunteer. Raised by nationally renowned collegiate Visual Art educators, he received a degree in Computer Science at UC Berkeley.  He has coached customers for over 10 years at Hewlett Packard, troubleshooting and providing technical solutions to North American HP-UX System Administrators.
