“WHO IS CHAM? The life of the boat people

The minority ethnic in Cambodia originated from Kingdom of Champa (Vietnam today). Cham in Cambodia is about 5%. Most of Cham are doing fishing, they live along the river. Most of their children attend the religious school rather than public school just because of three main reasons: Financial problem, Traditional mindset, and Parent’s carrier. This video documentary, “My Fishing Nets” by AVN’s Program Officer Saroeut Chip and his team at the university about the life of a young Cham boy and his family. This also figured out their daily life and the main reason why Cham Children drop out of school.”
